Brazil’s pig iron export prices slip
Brazilian pig iron export prices fell slightly in the first full week of September. This follows reduced demand from North American buyers, Kallanish learns from local market participants.
“Demand from North America continues to decline, mainly explained by the reduction in scrap prices in the US market. The new [Brazilian pig iron export] offers are at around $480/tonne fob,” says an international trader.
