Brazil’s scrap exports drop in October, imports insignificant
Brazilian ferrous scrap exports decreased in October, according to Brazilian Ministry of Development, Industry and Foreign Trade (Mdic) data.
During the month scrap exports totalled 21,900 tonnes, down 44.7% compared to 38,900t in the previous month. This volume was also 59.7% less on-year. October’s shipments were the lowest supplied abroad since July, when the country shipped just 5,610t, Kallanish notes.
