Brazil’s scrap exports reach seven-month high in April
Brazil saw ferrous scrap exports grow sharply in April, reaching a seven-month-high, according to Brazilian Ministry of Development, Industry and Foreign Trade (Mdic) data.
April scrap exports totalled 71,900 tonnes, up by 43.2% compared to March and also 93.7% higher year-on-year. This volume was the highest supplied abroad since September 2021 when the country shipped almost 73,500t.
