Brazil’s steel bar exports slide, imports rise
Brazilian bar exports fell month-on-month in August and were weaker year-on-year, Kallanish learns from the Brazilian Ministry of Development, Industry and Foreign Trade's (Mdic) latest report. Imports continue to grow.
The data include iron and steel bars, along with angles, profiles and sections.
Brazilian bar exports totalled 53,300 tonnes in the month, down 38,200t compared with July. This volume was 47.6% lower versus the same month last year.
