Brazil’s steel trade surplus continues rising in March
Brazil remained a net exporter of steel in March. The country’s trade surplus was almost 951,000 tonnes in the month, widening 29.2% over February, Kallanish notes.
According to local steelmakers’ association Instituto Aço Brasil (IAB), Brazilian steel exports increased 35.1% month-on-month and 0.6% more on-year in March to 1.28 million tonnes.
