China boosts August coke trade

Both exports and imports of Chinese coke saw significant growth in August, according to data from the General Administration of Customs.
China exported over 1 million tonnes of coke in the reporting month, up 10.7% from July and 75.4% year-on-year, Kallanish notes. The average realised price fell by 4.5% month-on-month to $485/tonne, but was still 25.7% higher than a year earlier.
