Chinese scrap declines amid conservative expectations
Chinese scrap prices continued to decline last week. Negative market movements have also led to stagnant imports.
On Friday, Kallanish assessed 6mm+ heavy scrap delivered to mills in eastern China's Yangtze River Delta at CNY 3,695/tonne ($551/t), including VAT. This is CNY 4/t lower from Thursday and down CNY 89/t compared with the previous Friday.
