China's rod exports remain quiet despite Asia uptick

Although the Asian long steel market strengthened in the last trading week before Chinese New Year, Chinese wire rod exports have remained quiet. On Thursday, Kallanish assessed 6.5mm diameter mesh-grade wire rod at $740/tonne fob China, unchanged week-on-week. Traders have already begun their holiday.
