Chinese rod export prices fall on short positions

China's wire rod export prices continue to decline, as sluggish demand in both the domestic market and abroad has caused Chinese export trade to stagnate again. On Thursday, Kallanish assessed 6.5mm diameter mesh-grade wire rod at $795-800/tonne fob China, down $15-20/t on-week.
