Chinese rebar fluctuates lower
Chinese rebar prices retreated last week, as heightened risk in financial markets weighed on commodity prices.
In Shanghai on Friday afternoon, 20mm HRB400 rebar was trading at CNY 4,150-4,170/tonne ($602-605/t), down CNY 10/t on-week. The May 2023 rebar contract on the Shanghai Futures Exchange closed at CNY 4,262/t, up by CNY 52/t compared with Thursday but lost CNY 52/t from a week before.
