Chinese wire rod export prices fall amid turmoil
China's exports of long steel products disappeared in last week's market turmoil, and export prices continued to fall following market fluctuation.
Kallanish assessed 6.5mm diameter mesh-grade wire rod at $545/tonne fob China, down $25/t from a week earlier.
A northern China steel mill lowered alloy wire rod export quotes to $550/t fob China, while big traders could offer at $545/t fob last week.
