Chongqing Steel issues first annual production guidance
China-listed Chongqing Iron & Steel, a major affiliate of Baowu Group, plans to produce 7.12 million tonnes of steel in 2022, realising per capita steel output of 1,100t, Kallanish notes.
Chongqing Steel made the disclosure because it was questioned by investors as to why it never announced its annual production plan, contrary to other state-owned steelmakers such as Baowu and Angang.
