CIS crude steel output remains flat in April

CIS crude steel production remained flat in April after an increase the previous month, according to the latest worldsteel data monitored by Kallanish. Regional output amounted to 9.1 million tonnes, up by 21% year-on-year. In March production was 9.1mt, more by 7% (see Kallanish passim). January-April CIS crude steel production was also up, by 7.4% on-year to 35.3mt. Russian production is estimated to have reached 6.5mt in April, up by 15% y-o-y. …
