Coke, coking coal futures drag up spot prices
Some steel mills accepted a CNY 100/tonne ($13.8/t) coke price increase on 17 November afternoon. This came after increases in the most-traded January 2024 coke and coking coal contracts on the Dalian Commodity Exchange (DCE) since two-month lows on 23 October, Kallanish notes.
