CSN eyes packaging production in old Ford plant
Brazil’s Companhia Siderúrgica Nacional (CSN) says it has concluded the 50% acquisition of Ford Motor Company’s former engine plant in Taubaté from the São José Desenvolvimento Imobiliário group. The steelmaker plans to install a new steel packaging line at the site, generating almost 1,000 direct jobs in its first stage of development, Kallanish notes.
