CSN Mineração to expand iron ore beneficiation plant
Brazilian integrated steelmaker Companhia Siderúrgica Nacional says its mining arm, CSN Mineração (CMIN), has received an environmental licence from Minas Gerais state for expanding its Casa de Pedra mine, Kallanish notes.
Following the decision of the State Council for Environmental Policy (Copam), the mining company is able to increase its iron ore beneficiation plant capacity from the current 10 million tonnes/year to 15m t/y.
