CSN raises first-quarter sales despite slab production drop
Brazil’s CSN saw first-quarter slab output fall 9.4% quarter-on-quarter to 895,000 tonnes. A year earlier it had surpassed 1 million tonnes. The fall in output was due to “some specific problems”, such as power outages and scheduled maintenance, but did not impact overall results, the firm says.
