CSP’s August slab shipments grow
Brazilian slab producer Companhia Siderúrgica do Pecém (CSP) saw its exports rise in August, Kallanish notes.
According to data issued by the local port authority, CSP’s August slab exports reached 238,033 tonnes, up 13.2% on-month but down 9.8% versus the 263,983t shipped a year earlier. This volume was the third-highest exported by the company so far this year, after July’s 309,363t and April’s 301,097t.
