Danieli to install Nucor digital meltshop
Nucor has announced that Danieli technologies has been awarded the contract to upgrade the Nucor Kingman facility in Arizona with the Danieli Digimelter and Digirefiner, Kallanish reports.
Nucor Steel Kingman will no longer use the shaft-type DC furnace. The modernized Digimelter and Digirefiner will produce more than 630,000 short tons/year of liquid steel. The meltshop will feed into a caster and Danieli bar mill.
