ESI follows market sentiment, reduces July rebar quotes
United Arab Emirates' largest integrated mill, Emirates Steel (ESI), has softened its July-delivery domestic market rebar (BS4449:2005 grade GR500B) quotes for 12-40mm diameter by AED 239/tonne ($65/t) to AED 2,516/t ($685) ex-mill. ESI quotes 8mm diameter rebar at the same price as long as the share of 8mm product does not exceed 5% of the total tonnage ordered, Kallanish notes.
