ESI rolls over rebar price, offers compensation
United Arab Emirates' largest integrated mill, Emirates Steel (ESI), has unexpectedly rolled over its August-delivery domestic market rebar (BS4449:2005 grade GR500B) quotes for 12-40mm diameter at AED 2,516/tonne ($685).
The same grade 8-16mm dia rebar in coil is at AED 2,582/t ($695). Prices are ex-mill payable 90 days after the invoice date, Kallanish notes.
