EU demand lifts BMK’s 2021 exports
Russian miner and steelmaker Mechel's Beloretsk steelworks (BMK) increased exports in 2021 by 15% on-year to over 138,000 tonnes, Kallanish notes.
A shipment increase of 12% was shown by wire rod. Hardware shipments were up 18%: deliveries of steel wire for various industries increased by 20% and shipments of cold-formed rebar used in the construction industry grew 6%.
