China-origin HRC prices slide in GCC

Hot rolled coil buyers in the Gulf Cooperation Council are observing prices softening, mainly for Chinese material.
This week, ex-China 2mm thickness SS400, Q235, S235JR and SAE 1006 grade HRC prices are pegging at $670-700/tonne cfr GCC ports for end-May/June shipment. The higher end of the range is being indicated by Chinese tier-one mills, while the lower end is tier-two mills, Kallanish notes.
