Ferrous futures touch one-month lows

Chinese rebar and hot rolled coil futures on Tuesday fell to one-month lows as the market was still waiting for a rebound in real demand to validate long-held positive expectations, Kallanish notes.
On the Shanghai Futures Exchange, the most-traded May 2023 rebar contract closed CNY 31/tonne lower than Monday at CNY 4,018/t ($592/t), while the same contract for HRC lost CNY 26/t to CNY 4,069/t.
