French scrap prices remain stable

French mills are now confirming December values for January scrap contracts and decreasing their purchasing prices for the lowest grades by only €5/tonne ($5.7). As steelmakers are resuming production after the Christmas holiday break, demand is rather dynamic, with scrap values stable.
