French stainless scrap market quietens amid low prices
Stainless steel scrap prices in France are stable month-on-month after collapsing in July, by some €600/tonne ($611) on average compared to June. The market is now on holiday with mills idling their plants mostly due to the downturn in finished product markets, which is forecast to continue until the end of the year.
