German rebar prices hold firm in December
Following the bounce-back from an intermediate trough, rebar prices in Germany are now keeping stable with possible hikes expected for the new year.
Most large distributores refilled their inventories in November, and since then, base prices between €550-570/tonne ($622-644/t) are seen as realistic. One buyer claims that big orders of 5,000t can still be signed for €520-530/t, the low point seen in September/October.
