German scrap prices have fallen again in July, despite better demand and higher export tonnages, according to German scrap market participants. Most sources expect values to fall further because of the uncertainty gripping the market.
Prices in most parts of Germany have decreased by €30-50/tonne ($30-50/t) since the end of June, a Bavarian buyer tells Kallanish. In a few cases, they went down by €80 in the first days of this month.
