Glencore lifts ferrochrome, nickel output guidance
Glencore has lifted its 2022 output guidance for ferrochrome to 1.5 million tonnes and nickel to 118,000t, each up 3%. This is despite attributable ferrochrome production falling 3% on-year in the first quarter to 387,000t, although nickel output surged 22% to 30,700t.
The higher nickel output primarily reflected Koniambo operating both production lines in 2022.
