Global pig iron output falls in July

Global pig iron output declined in July as it did in June, keeping the seven-month output down on-year, Kallanish learns from worldsteel data. World ironmakers produced 104.9 million tonnes in July, down 5% on-month and 6.2% on-year, as the January-July total fell 5.4% on-year to 758.9mt.
