Hyundai bids lower for Japanese scrap
South Korea’s Hyundai Steel lowered its latest bid prices for Japanese scrap on Friday, Kallanish notes. It is seeking to book Japanese H2 grade scrap at JPY 52,300/tonne ($401/t) and H1/H2 grade at JPY 52,800/t, each JPY 1,700/t lower than the week before. Its bid for HS grade was JPY 56,300/t, down by JPY 700/t. These are on an fob Tokyo basis.
