Hyundai Steel bids for Japanese scrap

Japanese scrap is holding firm in East Asia, Kallanish notes.
South Korea’s Hyundai Steel bid on Thursday for Japanese H2 scrap at JPY 52,000/tonne ($405/t) and H1/H2 at JPY 52,500/t. Its bid for shredded grade scrap was JPY 54,500/t and HS scrap at JPY 56,000/t. These are on an fob Tokyo basis.
