Oxygen incident hits NLMK’s third-quarter performance
NLMK’s steel output and sales were hit in the third quarter by the oxygen supply infrastructure incident at the Lipetsk site in August and the subsequent repair works.
The company's consolidated Q3 crude steel output totalled 3.9 million tonnes, 1% up on-year but down 15% on-quarter. Sales were down 7% on-year to 4.1mt, as slab supplies to NBH and to external markets decreased amid steel output reduction.
