Indian imported scrap offers gain despite slower bookings
Despite slower demand in the domestic Indian market coupled with limited bookings, suppliers have further raised scrap offers to India, sources informed Kallanish.
Offers for UAE-origin HMS1 are currently noted at $580-585/tonne cfr Nhava Sheva and Kandla. Earlier this week, Punjab-based mills have reportedly booked around 2,000-2,500t at $580-585/t cfr Kandla. A few Mumbai-based mills are heard to book around 1,000t at $560-565/t cfr Nhava Shava, last week.
