Indian imported scrap surges amid scrap, billet shortage
Following a sharp decline in Indian imported scrap offers a couple of weeks ago, Indian mills halted purchases, hoping to see further declines before booking. This has created an acute scrap shortage in India, with the majority of mills not having enough feedstock for July production.
