Indian scrap importers bid low amid falling sentiment
Despite the rupee's appreciation against the dollar, Indian scrap importers reduced their bids on the back of sluggish semi-finished steel sales, coupled with falling sentiment in the Turkish scrap market.
Moreover, the price fall in the recent Turkish deals has brought down bids from Indian buyers, with the majority eyeing bookings at $378-383/tonne cfr Chennai and Kandla, Kallanish notes.
