Plunging steel demand subdues Indian scrap import market
Falling demand and prices for semi-finished and finished steel have subdued bids for imported scrap this week. Increasing freight costs have meanwhile raised imported scrap values, which are not being accepted by mills, various market sources tell Kallanish.
