GCC buyers shun higher Russian billet offers
Gulf Cooperation Council billet market participants are puzzled by a hike in Russian offers; however, Iranian prices are unchanged on-week.
Russian merchant billet offers through traders have increased by $30-35/tonne this week to $600-605/t cfr Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. However, Iranian billet offers are unchanged from last week at $530-540/t landed to buyer's yard in Oman, Kallanish notes.
The new Russian billet offers are found not workable by buyers…
