Italian rebar prices fall
Italian rebar prices are falling again this week after starting a declining trend last week.
Customers are ordering back-to-back and some are adopting a wait-and-see attitude, forecasting values to continue to fall in February, market sources tell Kallanish.
In the second week of January, Italian mills were asking for €560/tonne ($611) base ex-works only to decrease to €510-520/t base ex-works the week after. This week, quotes are at €490-500/t.
