Italian scrap undercuts €300, mills change buying habits

Italian scrap prices are continuing to fall amid a downturn that involves both scrap and finished long and flat products, market participants tell Kallanish. All longs mills are preparing for longer summer production stoppages; some will start in July and resume production at the end of August.
