Italian contracts for scrap imports from Germany, France and Eastern Europe have decreased again this month by some €100/tonne ($105) compared to May. Italian mills have bought considerably less material compared to their usual purchases and are not guaranteeing continuity of volumes to their large traditional suppliers.
