Italian scrap prices fall again
Italian mills are reducing their buying scrap prices on the domestic market by some €80/tonne ($84) in June on average compared to last month, Kallanish learns from market participants.
Demand this month is plodding after the first week of June following mills’ stoppages for the 2 and 3 June bank holiday. Most Italian mills continue to stop production a few days per week due to low demand for finished long and flat products and the high cost of energy.
