Italian stainless scrap prices increase again
Italian stainless steel scrap prices are increasing by over €100/tonne ($114/t) this month, as forecast, confirming the steady price hike seen over recent months due to costlier nickel and other raw materials.
From the first contracts of the month, grade 304 has reached the level of €2,180-2,200/t delivered. This grade at the beginning of January sold at $2,050/t delivered on average, Kallanish notes.
