Italian stainless scrap prices decline
Italian stainless steel scrap prices are falling by €100/tonne ($105) on average this month on lower costs of raw materials and nickel.
Grade 304 has reached the level of €2,400-2,500/t delivered. The gap depends on quality. 316 has remained stable at €3,500-3,550/t delivered, due to product shortages. While this grade remains in demand, merchants are managing to buy and sell small volumes, sources suggest.
