Italian rod flattens as buyers turn to imports
Italian wire rod prices are flat this week, with continued slow demand for domestic material and buyers in wait-and-see mode, market participants tell Kallanish.
Domestic producers continue to ask for between €980-1,000/tonne ($978-998). Contract prices are hovering at €950-1,000/t ex-works for drawing-quality material, unchanged compared to the beginning of the month.
