JSW production falls on-quarter on brought-forward maintenance
JSW’s Indian operations saw crude steel production rise 16% on-year to 5.72 million tonnes in the June quarter, against 4.94mt a year earlier. Standalone production – excluding Indian subsidiaries – grew 37% to 5.62mt, Kallanish notes.
Standalone production, however, fell 2% on-quarter against 5.71mt produced in the March quarter, and Indian operations output dropped by 3% against 5.88mt.
