Kardemir more than doubles first-half revenue
Kardemir more than doubled its revenue on-year in the first half of 2022 to TRY 12.8 billion ($715.7 million). This helped the Turkish steelmaker post a net profit of TRY 2.28 billion compared to a profit of TRY 1.42 billion a year earlier. H1 Ebitda rose 54% to TRY 3.21 billion, Kallanish notes.
Kardemir’s H1 primary product sales fell 12.9% on-year to 1,029,272 tonnes, while liquid steel production fell 13% to 1,128,914t.
