Kardemir eyes reducing second-quarter billet sales, increasing rebar

Kardemir plans to sell a higher share of semi-finished product than rebar again in the second quarter, as it did in Q1, although finished steel sales will actually rise and billet shipments fall. Overall Q2 sales are projected to decrease by 1,000 tonnes compared to the Q1 target to 564,000t. The Turkish integrated steelmaker plans to sell 141,000t of rebar, up from 133,000t in Q1.
