Kardemir posts lower first-quarter profit despite higher revenue
Kardemir increased revenue by 46.9% on-year in January-March to TRY 8.8 billion ($452 million). Despite this improvement, however, the Turkish steelmaker posted a net profit of TRY 641 million compared to a profit of TRY 1.17 billion a year earlier.
Ebitda declined 28.8% to TRY 1.08 billion, Kallanish notes.
