Kuwait's Al-Oula Steel Manufacturing Co. has commissioned its new rolling mill to produce 8-40mm diameter rebar at a capacity of 500,000 tonnes/year, and received quality certification from local authorities for domestic market sales.
The firm started operations with induction furnace-route billet production in 2003; it has since been an essential contributor to the regional market with an annual production capacity of 150,000t, Kallanish notes.
